Epic Pumpkin Decomposition Timelapse

I’ve always been fascinated by the time-lapses of rotting fruit. I’m not sure exactly why either. Many of them are fairly basic. The said fruit slowly shivles up. Nothing fancy.

That’s why when I decided to do this pumpkin time-lapse, I wanted to make it a bit cooler. That’s why I took my pumpkin, sat it outside and put three cameras on it. I covered the entire setup from the rain, and then let the cameras go. Here is the resulting 8 week time-lapse.

You might notice that it didn’t seem like it was 8 weeks. Where were all the days? Truth be told, it was really distracting to have the days flickering through, so I cut out the day portions in the time-lapses and only used the night time sections. That’s why the pumpkin tends to bounce occasionally.
