Orectolobiformes

This order of sharks is commonly referred to as carpet sharks. These include the nurse sharks as well as the wobbegongs. This order also includes one unusually large shark – the whale shark. Whale sharks are the largest species of fish in the world! The main characteristic of these sharks is there five gill slits, two spineless dorsal fins and their small mouths that don’t extend past the eyes. Many of the species also have barbels.
